Serving the Electrical and Construction Industries
Since 1974
History
Mid-Atlantic was founded in 1974 by Thomas R Pfeffer.
After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in
electrical engineering he was employed by General
Electric Company, later taking a job as an engineer in
1966 with a local Baltimore electrical contractor and 8
years later founded Mid-Atlantic. After spending over
45 years working in the electrical industry, Mr. Pfeffer
retired in 2010. The company is now owned and
operated by his daughter Theresa I Kraft and son-in-law Daniel R Kraft.
Mrs. Kraft, now President and majority owner of Mid-Atlantic has spent the last 25 years
acquiring the knowledge and experience needed to direct every aspect of the business. Using
her management skills, she has worked to make the company more efficient and responsive
to our customers needs.
Mr. Kraft started his career with the company as an apprentice over 30 years ago. He has
worked his way through the ranks as a journeyman, foreman, superintendent, master electrician,
estimator and now Vice President. His vast experience, customer relations and problem
solving skills make him an important asset to the company.
Being a family owned business, the company’s reputation is very important to us. That is why we
always strive to provide our customers with the best possible service.
